PHOSAL®
The Lipoid PHOSAL® brand name encompasses unique liquid compounds based on phosphatidylcholine. They can act as solubilizers for components that are either insoluble or barely soluble in aqueous solutions or function as a source of phosphatidylcholine with essential fatty acids. The PHOSAL® products can be incorporated directly into oral or dermal formulations.

PHOSAL® branded products are non-aqueous solutions with phosphatidylcholine in different concentrations for oral and topical pharmaceutical applications as well as cosmetic products. The additional designations identify the carrier media used, such as medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), sunflower oil (SB), safflower oil (SA), and propylene glycol (PG). All ingredients provide excellent carriers for natural phosphatidylcholine and lipophilic active ingredients, e.g. vitamins, essential oils.
PHOSAL® products can be directly incorporated as emulsifiers and stabilizers into:
- emulsions, e.g. creams, lotions
- hard and soft capsules
- syrups
- tonics
As dietary supplements, they are primarily administered in capsule form and are considered highly valuable carriers of phosphatidylcholine and essential fatty acids.
